: Alvaro Seco and his Alfas live in Galicia, in the northwest region of Spain. He has an ’84 GTV6, a 1978Alfetta GTV 2000 race car, a 1984 GTV 2.0, and the shared ownership of another race car, shown in its glory days in the next photo.

: This is the 1989 ex-Jolly Club 75 Turbo Evoluzione Group A racer that Alvaro shares with a friend.

: George Willet’s Giulia Super has moved on, but the memories linger.

: George had good times racing from his former home base of Anacortes, Washington. The Willets now live in Arizona where the hot sun has apparently disoriented George and caused him to begin racing Miatas. It’s okay, we still like you.

: James Enloe, from Iowa, sends this artistic shot of one of his Giulietta engines. James writes that he has three Giulietta “abnormales.”

Poser? No Sir! Here’s a hot Spider built in the tradition of the car whose colors it wears

There’s a V8 lurking under the hood of James Romeo’s wild Spider. See below for more.

: This 302 Ford fits neatly in the engine compartment of James Romeo’s 1971 Spider. James, whose last name really is like that of the car, lives in southern California, where many hot sports cars originate.

: This is the view most drivers will see of James’s Spider.

: James also owns this 1969 Spider, an ’87 Spider Veloce, a ’67 Fiat 850 Sport Spider flat nose, a ’72 Fiat 850 Sport Spider with frogeyes, and a 1962 Studebaker Hawk GT. Love the diversity of his rides!

: New York Alfista Jim Lehman’s 1986 Spider is on the left and his 1967 Spider is on the right. They’re shown here at Watkins Glen, during a vintage race weekend.

: Karl Huybrechts, from Belgium, sends this shot of his 1975 1300 GTJ with 2L engine and other upgrades. Karl also has a 1970 Giulia Super that’s getting a TS engine. His Italian bikes are shown on our motorcycle page.

: Keith Martin sees a lot of fine old cars as publisher of “Sports Car Market” and star of TV shows that focus on vintage and classic cars (“What’s My Car Worth” is a personal favorite). I think his owning this gorgeous deep blue 1967 GV shows his good taste, not that my having a ’67 GTV influences me or anything.

: Larry Duthie is shown with his street-track 1988 Spider after a rebuild of engine, gear box, brakes, fuel system, and interior. Larry’s from Walla Walla, Washington. I didn’t need to put in his home town; I just like to say “Walla Walla, Washington.”

: Larry sent us another shot of his Spider, named “Carlotta,” after a new paint job. In the passenger seat is neighbor Larrol, who helped with body work and painting. That’s a great neighbor to have, especially if he also owns a car lift. My neighbors are nice, but they own tractors and American cars, and none have lifts. Bummer.

: Here’s Carlotta after losing 338 pounds (Paleo diet? Lost weight added due to years of evolutionary factory changes?). Larry assures us Charlotta sits down on her wheels now and looks a lot more fit.

: Ken Portz lives in Durango, Colorado, where he and his pretty 1977 Spider don’t have to go far to enjoy a Rocky Mountain high the natural way. Seriously, what could be better than guiding a fine Italian sports machine through a scenic pass on a sunny day?

: Rick Zuurbier writes from the Netherlands: “Well, after having caught repeated flak at my botching up various Alfas (How DARE I lower my Berlina? How DARE I turn my GT Junior into a GTA rep?) I guess it’s time to come out in the open and join SNO.” Welcome to the club, Rik. We feel your pain.

: This GT belongs to T.J. Noto, who lives in northern California. T.J. also now owns the GT that used to belong to Tom Hardy. It’s shown elsewhere in our SNO pix.

: Lionel Swanepoel, from Port Elizabeth, South Africa plans to restore this barn-find 1969 1750 round tail.

: The Spider is one of nine Alfas in the Swanepoel family.

: What does one call a large collection of Alfas, as shown in this photo from Lionel Swanepoel? Is it a herd, a flock, a pod … or just a really nice car show? In this case, the cars are all members of the Swanepoel family.

: Simon Johnson, from the U.K., stripped down a rusty MK2 1750 GTV and turned it into a beautiful GTA replica.

: Simon Johnson’s great looking GTA replica feaures a wide lightweight, composite body with step front.

: This 1995 164LS belonging to Ron Calkins has GTA 3.2 intake cams, Squadrachip ECU, Q runners, SplitSecond MAP conversion, and a whole lot more, including a 6spd close-ratio gearbox. Wow!

: Ron Calkins belongs to this 1967 Duetto. While it may look sedate enough to chauffer your own favorite Mrs. Robinson, it has a 2L motor, modified brakes, Panhard rod, and other suspension mods.

: Ron Calkins also owns this lovely ’84 GTV6, with RSR suspension, Jemison close ratio lightened gearbox, tightened LSD, aluminum radiator, Recaro racing seats with Schroth Racing belts, and GiroDisco Big Brake Kit (and I thought Disco was dead!).

: Ron’s 1973 GTV2000 has Ingram Spica Race pump and flex fuel lines, Ward&Dean suspension and Panhard rod, among other upgrades. Let the Originale Police try and catch him! Fat chance.

: Roger Harmon, from Virginia, is about to take a welder to this ’67 GT. New panels are on the way!

: This is Roger’s GT as he bought it. Can’t wait to see how the car turns out.

: If you look really hard, you can barely make out a Scuderia sticker on the front bumper of Roger Harmon’s 1954 Hudson Hornet. There’s another on the back bumper. Imagine the confusion those create in the minds of car buffs who see the Hornet on the road.

: Neil Martin’s 1967 GT has a 3.0-liter V6. Neil says the V6 is 40 pounds heavier than a 4-cylinder motor, but sits 4 inches back. He’s also moved the battery to the trunk. As a result, his GT is now a road rocket with the same nimble handling one expects from a GTV.

: This is Neil Martin’s 1963 “Abnormale,” purchased in 1975 for $350. It’s now got a 1750 motor with repro 1300 Veloce air box and repro 1300 air cleaner.

: Wow! Can’t wait to see Neil Martin’s Alfa 2000 Spider when this manifold is on its Rover V8 motor. Sacrilege? Maybe, but won’t it be fun!

: Doug Bender pilots his fully race prepared 1965 GT at Laguna Seca. It has a 2-liter motor, close ratio tranny, modified suspension and gutted interior.
